Asmara International Community School

The Asmara International Community School, like many schools in the Middle East and Africa, is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA).  MSA was established in 1887 to set standards for American Education.  It now provides accreditation to schools in 86 countries.

An accredited school has met the standards for ...

  • Defining appropriate educational goals and providing educational programs, services and resources to achieve them;
  • Maintaining a qualified faculty and an effective school organization;
  • Assessing the results of its students and using that performance date for continuous improvement;
  • Responding appropriately to parents' concerns and the needs of the school community;
  • Ensuring continuity in the delivery of all its educational programs and services;

Additionally, being an accredited school means that our students can transfer easily into any other accredited institution around the world and that our High School Diploma will be accepted at universities around the world as the equivalent of a US High School Diploma
